Got out just as the sun was coming up so I could get the eggplant (Aubergine) set out at last. Temp. topped out at 93F / 34C today, so I'm glad we got it done early. I DID remember to include some of the "cripples" from the problem I had earlier with the first planting having a "withering" of the growing tip in the seed trays. They now look just as healthy as the replacement plantings so we will see how things develop. Rest of garden looks ok.

Also, those with a keen eye will notice the big batch of rhubarb in the background has gone to flower. Don't judge me. Have had other things to do.

@richrollgardener You are not alone! I just tell myself that the pollinators like the flowers.

@tsupasat @richrollgardener and honestly, even letting it go to flower, i end up with so much more rhubarb than I need.

@richrollgardener Some varieties just do that more than others. It makes no difference to the crop. My rhubarb does the same and I’m picking from it every week.
