    @paul_ipv6@infosec.exchange @mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io they also fear getting their debt of violence and hate paid back, and for good reasons.

      This Afroman trial is giving me life.

      Cops raided Afroman's house for no reason. They pointed guns at him and his kids, ransacked his house, and tried to disconnect his home security cameras. They didn't disconnect them all, and so were allegedly caught on camera stealing his money.

      He then made a series of music videos using footage from his security camerasz and body cam footage. Now the cops are suing him for making the videos. The ACLU is defending him.

        @lan @mekkaokereke

        which is part of why they fear ridicule.

        without the fear they are supposed to inspire, they risk retaliation.

        they understand that folks don't fear what they find ridiculous.

          @mekkaokereke Lmao the person asking questions is asking questions as if it's illegal to make someone upset. This is exactly how bullies' parents would defend them in kindergarden 😂😂😂

            I like the suit he chose to wear for the deposition, too.

                @mekkaokereke it's absolutely clear that this behaviour is habitual for them. Routine. They assume that they can steal stuff here because they've done it time and time again, but this time they fucked up and got caught on camera. The question isn't, where else have they done this, it's where *haven't* they.

                          @mekkaokereke Afroman is great. But it's depressing this suit wasn't thrown out.

                          Edit: Afroman won! (Cheering noises) At least the jury did the right thing.

                              @mekkaokereke I'm not saying Afroman is wrong. I'm just saying that it's really weird that they let him answer his own questions.

                              And I'm not sure 'they came to my house first' is a defense the law is going to hold. A jury, OTOH, might as well. Meanwhile, IANAL and all my US law knowledge is from TV 😛

                                    @notyourfanboy @mekkaokereke And your point? His privacy was invaded for the “crime” of existing while Black. He’s using the law to support his right to speak out.

                                        does he need more than this for you to like him? or are you trying to imply improprieties without naming any of them?

                                          @RnDanger I was thinking about Lemon Pound Cake. If he were an introspective type, he might ponder how he refers to Black people and how that might affect THEM. As for the woman crying, well, it's an opportunity for her to consider how she performs her job and the respect she shows to the people she encounters in that capacity. With regards to her kid(s), she and the kid should go into therapy to discuss how they should handle things, not letting the kid stew in her mess. @mekkaokereke
