They assume that they can steal stuff here because they've done it time and time again, but this time they fucked up and got caught on camera. And I'm not sure 'they came to my house first' is a defense the law is going to hold. A jury, OTOH, might as well. Meanwhile, IANAL and all my US law knowledge is from TV
