The transparency register, specific lobby groups and their impacts, EU rules that aim to prevent undue influence?@hpod16 thanks. I want to know why lobbyists are allowed. It seems to give undue influence to those who have most access to resources and disadvantages those people and systems that have no or little money.

The European commission last year announced the affordable housing plan. It’s fairly new for the EU to get involved in this topic, but I think there’s some interesting stuff there.
Like how do short-term rental platforms, like Airbnb affect house prices in highly touristic areas? And what are the solutions to regulate those? I’ve seen some cool initiatives coming out of certain cities, the EU could make sure that those solutions are shared across borderers… -

You're quite right I think. That does indeed fall under 'trade'. But it also shows how trade can (negatively I think in this case) affect EU policy?

@karlos @hpod16 @grob I'm Mastodon's resident loudmouth demanding #EUreform, but as long as member states are a thing (which, you know... I'd not personally miss them, but realistically in our lifetime they will be) there will always be a veto on constitutional matters like accession and treaty change, that's the only area in which it makes sense to keep it

But I would love a deep dive in mobility regulations. From digital to physical mobility, ten-t and the role the eu can play in advancing sustainable transport modes. Both within and between the countries of the eu.
