I would steer people towards Fedora instead of Manjaro.

@Foxboron @bodil Community and project health happens to be the one sentence that nobody can say about Fedora.

@bodil damn ubuntu's been the only distro that doesn't constantly crash my machine, I've tried multiple fedora versions and nixos and my machine randomly crashes. Last week I tried kubuntu and it's been smooth so far...

I'll try Aurora next and hope

@bodil Aurora Linux brags on their homepage about enabling "local AI workflows". Not sure how that differs from what Canonical is doing.

@cholling It's the difference between being able to install Ollama and coming preinstalled with Copilot, I guess.

@kaliranya @cholling At the moment, the only distro with an explicit anti-AI policy is Gentoo.

@crow @bodil Fedora, specifically Silverblue (gnome) or Kinoite (kde). They're immutable which means you can't (easily) break the OS and it's versioned so if an update happens to break something it's fairly easy to roll back.

However, if you want to be open to tinkering and learning how your system works regular old Fedora is the way to go.
