@wesgeorge A used phone with all apps other than "Music" (and maybe one or two other related ones) deleted from the home screen is an excellent standalone music player. Used ones can be bought for cheap (my preferred place is Swappa), and you can often find ones with lots of battery life.Every MP3 player I have tried from Amazon has been regrettable crap.
