@RantingCanuck It's a mess — and these city councillors are making it so much worse.

- HAF / CMHC funding is gone,
- Housing types of so many varieties are gone, and,
- The affordability agenda has been dumped.

I'm horrified.

Going to spend the next little while thinking about the affordability crisis, the increasing inability to afford to exist in this city, and the massive ball that has been dropped.

So far, I'm seeing a catastrophic failure in leadership at city hall. #Housing

Repeal of the 2024 changes to zoning — and returning to 60%+ of my city being single family homes and *only* single family homes is horrifying.

Banning building homes is not a strategy, #yyccc. #yyc

So I've been thinking: banning social media for the youths might not make sense.

So I thought some more about it.

It's really marketing and algorithms that are at fault.

Then, I thought some more.

What are these apps if not ads and warped algorithms? Nothing else remains.

So ban those apps.
