Some things we saw (that I unfortunately forgot to take photos o)f:- A staircase where the steps visibly bent under your feet, including two with loose screws being supported by wooden planks with "Fix Me" written in permanent marker.- A hallway where you could feel the mold and mildew enter your lungs as you breathed- A laundry room with blood on the wall, a taped over ventilation duct, linoleum that likely hasn't been replaced since at least the 80s, holes covered with plastic board, an abandoned boxspring, and more- An emergency exit stairwell caked in garbage and pigeon droppings- Sliding windows without screens on the third floor, which was unable to shut to keep out the cold, and overlooked a ceiling caked in pigeon droppings and injured pigeons- Banisters that nearly separated from the wall as you held them- Hallway carpets worn to the plastic holding them together- Garbage areas where tenants simply piled their larger waste in what resembled a bonfire stack next to the dumpsters
