@dillyd we're in an older house with a heat pump retrofit. We've got a single air duct in the top floor so it doesn't cool very well. I put a fan at the top of the stairs to move the hot air down to where the thermostat is. Works pretty well, but the climate in Victoria pretty mild.

@chris This is awesome. As battery tech improves (more kWh per kilo and per litre) range and performance will increase. But someone has to be a pioneer and I'm glad it's a local company. I used fly HA between Victoria and Vancouver for work and always thought of them as a first rate company.

@chris I tend to agree with this stance. But I think we need to look after displaced workers the best we can.

@chris the union has been raising some legitimate concerns about the role of Canadian auto-parts supply chain in Chinese EV assembly. I'm not saying that this is reason enough to stop the plan, but it's not unreasonable.
