@kaiser_franz you aren't wrong. I've considered the zebra tank, but a rotary one is probably better anyway.

I’ve about had it with the Stearman Press tank. -
This is going to be hard to hear, but:@NotTheLBCGuy @jsr I guess then if we just say that Marty's 1855 is our 1896, I don't have to feel quite as old (I should mention this to my knees).

This is going to be hard to hear, but:@jsr bit Brit specific, but they mentioned on the radio the other day that the Maradona "Hand of God" moment was 40 years ago, which means that that day is now twice as far away as the England World Cup win of 1966 was then.
(I know nothing of football, but these things are weird archaeological monoliths in English culture).

I have now seen this a few times in mailing lists: There is some discussion with an explicit or implicit question, somebody asks some random LLM and then posts its answer into the discussion, without double-checking it.@pascal_costanza this was happening a lot on the photrio photography forum, including by some maintainers.
I'm not sure why people think this is them being helpful, putting questions into a publicly accessible bot, and pasting the output, unchallenged, into a forum.
It's as if they think they have a particularly special relationship with the bot that means the info they get is just that bit better.
It's fucking weird -
Two things:1.@mcnado they double tapped a couple of drug dealers (or quite possibly fishermen), holding on to wreckage for deal life. Leaving people to drown is a sort of growth at this point.
(the whole thing is mind boggleingly disgusting, and news media posting the f'ing video of it is only adding to the grossness of it all). -
Apparently chardet got Claude to rewrite the entire codebase from LGPL to MIT?@duckattack @Foxboron great talk. but generating all the video with sora is both surface level clever, and then just massively offensive to the creators that have been fed to sora.

I know some real good folks working on #Trivy, and it’s painful to see a fine open source project like theirs go from 25K GitHub stars to 0.@anderseknert GitHub actions has been a security catastrophe. We use tricky, I've thrown a star on it!

A rare moment where you root for regime change in all three countries involved@finestructure you'd have though 3 far right theocracies would get on better.
