@ricmac In the beginning the Web was created. This had made many people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

@jwildeboer depends how you count it really, I was on identi.ca fifteen plus years ago or whenever it was, took a break while it was constantly changing and evolving (status net, gnu social, etc) and then came back to mastodon/activitypub a few years ago.

I thought I was going to be fine for this fortnight by shuffling some things around, but I forgot a bill.

So I'm about $150 short for rent, laundry, and food money for this fortnight.

Between public holidays and half-length shifts, next pay fortnight is probably going to be tight at best as well.

Though on the plus side it costs more to pack a lunch than to cook at home, and I don't need to pack a lunch for a short shift.
Still awful though,

All shifts cut from eight hours to four hours until further notice. Urgh.
Pretty sure that drops me below covering living expenses.

Let us hope it either picks up fast, or I get one of those full time jobs I've applied for.

@Maker_of_Things I'm keeping an eye out for something yeah, but I'm being fussy about it. On the one hand it is just a quiet period where I am, and it will pick up again. But on the other hand if I can find something notably better I'll go for it.

Make that 2 days (1 full day and 2 half days), shift just got cancelled. I suspected this one was coming, so not a big surprise, but the 2 short days make it a bit shittier.

@Maker_of_Things yeah, casual so paid by the hour: less work means less pay.

Now down to 3... another half day.

It's a short week at work, 4 days, because of all the enforced christianity over the weekend.
