This may be anti-hot take, but dumping billion of tons of particles into the atmosphere to block the sun is maybe a bad idea, which is why I'm very worried some billionaire will want to do it.That happened worldwide in the 15th century (iirc) and it was a massive disaster.

As I went around a blackbird followed me at a safe distance and pounced on various insects disturbed by the machine.
Found a wild silver birch seedling, saved it from being cut by placing a short length of plastic drain pipe. Also found two more black currant. Saved.
Double phew now, feels wet and I think I can hear droplets....
