Shadow pc appears to have made some change that if you are on low bandwidth, the audio no longer stutters but reduces in quality. For phone usage this is actually a much cooler system, let’s see when it gets changed there. Currently it is only for the desktop app it appears.

@pitermach @talon was a really fun stream. But twitch ui is really a suffer. Can you maybe stream on both? I mean it’s not completely unusable but sometimes I couldn’t even read the live chat because it would blow up in my face with fullscreen dialogs of trending streamers and I had to literally press my escape key like 15 times and tab at the same time for it to get back on track.

@pitermach @talon Ok got it working, but had to switch browsers. On safari this is a nightmare. Now let’s watch this.

@pitermach @talon can not watch unfortunately, thing is showing me the stream from the start although it is still ongoing and also there doesn’t seam to be a way to open the chat under macOS. So will just watch the archive later.

@imbl I am also shocked at this, it’s also really concerning how the non tech people literally don’t care about more and more ridiculous things like this happening. For example in Germany we had a law trying to enforce scanning of *every single chatmessage* send through for example WhatsApp and if the ai which scans it finds cp, sends the entire chat history to the police. And well lots of people played it of saying „well I have nothing to hide so they can really good do that“. No one was against fighting cp but tech people called it out as way overboard, also the German police was already trying to do things like „well if we already have that system we could also use it for other legal things“ which in the wrong hands can have horrible consequences. I hope the discord thing was maybe some sort of wake up call.
