How do we show care in the way we live each day?

Together, we see that real faith is not loud but steady, shown in simple acts and patient choices. We learn to put people first, to listen, and to do what helps even when it is quiet and unseen. Our habits shape who we become, and small actions build strong communities. We grow by practising kindness again and again, until it becomes natural. What begins inside us is made real through what we do, guiding us to live with purpose, humility, and hope in shared life for all people.

Owing to some recent posts across various platforms, I offer this for our #HiveMind reflection …

Today I am mindful of those who choose to serve publicly, from elected leaders to first responders, often at real personal cost. As someone who feels called to serve, I know my own opinions must always be tempered by a vocation that nurtures integrity and restraint. This shapes how I speak and how I listen. I invite us all to take care in how we refer to, post about, and speak of those in public service. Words have consequences. They can build understanding or erode it. I sincerely hope we choose language that reflects respect, even when we disagree deeply.

Upon a wall we've painted the world
people loved & excluded
As you spy our creation
have we crafted what we wish to see
or shall we start anew?

In these reflections, I often find myself using metaphors to explore life. In this verse, life as a painting has drawn me to explore how we create the worlds we see. Just as importantly, the metaphor invites me to wonder whether what we have painted, what we have created, is in fact that which we want. This ‘want,’ however, is not about an individual, but as a collective.

If what we have painted does not serve the beauty we are, perhaps we need to begin a new canvas together?
