Inspired by unshuttering one another to so shine … #MicroReflectionLight is a reoccurring theme in much of these verses. This follows in a long tradition that embraces the poetic, the spiritual journey and the scientific parallels that recognise we are each an energy that emanates, emits and shines. If we take this wisdom seriously, that we are light sources, then what does that mean if we nurture this capacity in ourselves and one another? What practices do you pursue that help you harness your own light? In turn, how does this help you cultivate this in those around you?#MicroPoetry #140Characters #UCCan #ShineOnhttps://adeaconsmusing.ca

We speak together, resisting comfort that protects harm to others. Shared anger, guided by care, becomes our response to repair rather than destroy. We stand alongside neighbours, knowing change grows through relationship, risk, and voice. When quiet agreement sustains cruelty, we must challenge honestly to open pathways toward dignity. We act neither alone nor above others, instead as companions whose futures intertwine. Hope emerges through persistence, accountability, and mutual trust. Such commitment demands sacrifice, patience, and attention. Through collective action, we nurture healing, fairness, and belonging, shaping a just and common good.#MicroPoetry #140Characters #UCCan #ShineOnhttps://adeaconsmusing.ca

The surfacewhere kindness revealsour interdependencemay seem beyond reachby intolerant voicesWe risewhen offer freelywhat we hope to receive__________________________Inspired by choosing to live joyfully …#MicroReflectionHow do we choose a life shaped by generous attention to one another? We learn that shared life grows when care is given without bargaining or fear. Even when harsh speech seeks to narrow hope, we can answer with open hands and steady courage. Joy becomes a practice as we act for the good of neighbours, trusting that what we give returns in changed community. We are strengthened by choosing welcome over suspicion, patience over haste, and grace over defence. In this way, we discover that flourishing is never solitary but built together through daily choices to act with generosity of spirit and hope that abides in one another.#MicroPoetry #140Characters #UCCan #ShineOnhttps://adeaconsmusing.ca

Inspired by navigating time allocated to us well ...#MicroReflection The poet Mary Oliver has asked what we intend to do with our one and precious life. This challenge, originally offered poetically, makes it clear that time is not a resource to be controlled or squandered. Rather it is the water in which we swim and what we choose to do with the blessed seconds we have been granted becomes not just a practical question, but a spiritual one. Awakening to this invitation then leads us to these questions:What gifts have been given to you in order to help us all shine? Once you know what they are, what do you intend to do with them?#MicroPoetry #140Characters #UCCan #ShineOnhttps://adeaconsmusing.ca

From shared awareness, responsibility demands movement, not delay. We choose to act over indifference and courage over silence, knowing that attention leads to action; to healing. Such stance calls us to stand up, speak clearly, and protect what sustains Life’s universal dignity. When conviction guides us, choices become decisive and generous, strengthening community and resisting harm. We step forward with confidence, trusting that deliberate action can reshape habits, restore trust, and build a future marked by appreciative astonishment, justice, and shared hope for all.#MicroPoetry #140Characters #UCCan #ShineOnhttps://adeaconsmusing.ca
