I have a blue collar friend who listens to podcasts all day. It’s wall to wall culture war content and he’s easily the least happy person I know.
The thing is I have another friend, same situation but he listens to CBC and NPR shows, still a decent amount of focus on the culture war but he’s a really popular happy guy, involved in the community etc.
Given regulations aren’t getting passed anytime soon, the media you choose to consume does come down to personal responsibly.

I think @pluralistic is correct and wish Canada would realize that the "good behaviour" light switch isn't wired to the bulb.
In the end though, this country is so fucking frustratingly conflict adverse from the individual all the way up to the government.
As far as political viability goes, funding something like #NLnet for Canadian orgs and teaming up on the Eurostack over the next few years is my focus. Huge kilometerage
for the money.

Gavin Newsom supporters are going to be so confused when the presidential debates begin and they finally learn that Gavin Newsom and Gavin Newsom's witty social media manager who regularly SLAMS Trump are not the same person.@lowqualityfacts wait a minute. This is a high quality political observation?

Something that icks me regarding the online #ageverification discourse that we see today is that everyone seems to assume that giving privacy-intrusive or PII datais the only way to have age verification online.@anselmschueler @kkarhan @res260 this is a fun way to start the week!
Here's what I'd propose, we all just mute whoever we think is being a dick, and if in 30 days we decide that this is a good way to spend our time we can get back into arguing if wanting some sort of standard mechanism to check who someone is online makes you a genocidal fascist. -
