@okwithmydecay The kind of panels Lidl sells in Germany are for balconies. "Balkonkraftwerk" (literally: balcony power station). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balcony_solar_power You plug them into your 230V power outlet. Your power meter needs to be recent (it needs to be able to run backward for example). That doesn't mean you see them installed everywhere but every step counts.
