@taylorlorenz How about a creative activity, one in which you lose track of time, like sketching, painting, knitting, crochet, etc.

Having one of those days where I'm so tired and burned out I can't get anything done. -
#3GoodThings #Michigan1. Yesterday was a beautiful day for a walk with the dog.
2. Lots of pots coming out of the kiln today
3. I went to a Dinner with Strangers at a local restaurant that was hosted by an Ann Arbor woman who wanted to meet new people and possibly make new friends. She posted on the Nextdoor app and I happened to see it. Seven people showed up. We were talking and laughing so much that we ended up closing out the joint. This was the first and will be happening monthly.

I have not.@tante I used to have one paid subscription and it was to Netflix. Then the extortion happened: pay us even more or you’ll have to watch ads. NOPE, I quit. Took up knitting instead.

People are doing rocket science and quantum mechanics, and yet no one has invented a knitting needle that displays the current number of stitches it's holding.@pointysticksncoffee I'd buy that needle!

1. Normally, I do wheel-throwing at the pottery studio, but all wheels were occupies. So I decided to do something outside my comfort zone with hand building. I went all out and made a big bowl (about 14 inches in diameter), with texture on the inside. (photo attached)
2. Went for a nice walk with the dog and saw my first crocuses of 2026.
3. Detroit-style pizza for lunch. So good!

Latest addition to my library, and absolutely the finest part of it: A complete, 99-volume collection of the Everyman Wodehouse.@morganth I love PG Wodehouse books and have what I thought was a large collection. I was WRONG!

#Knitting #Doomscrolling@madeindex Thank you! Did you ask for a type (wool or synthetic) or color of yarn?

#Knitting #DoomscrollingI am a beginning knitter and recently went on a cowl-knitting binge. It's a great way to practice new stitches (seed and cable) and to stop doomscrolling. It took until my third cable-stitched cowl before I got the hang of unstitching mistakes -- so easy for my mind to wander and miss a twist! Photos show off my four cowls.
