@meet_judith I have always loved the Reader's Digest compendiums of craft books. I learned all the basics of crochet, knitting, and sewing from the needlework book. There is one for fine art and another for traditional crafts like wood and leather. I find them at thrift stores and used bookstores. They have great illustrations to show you how to do the thing. I am left handed and they had instructions to help me. Whenever i wanna just get some ideas and look at a bunch of craft books, I know of no better place than the library.

Women’s rights don’t look good through Meta AI glasses@bent0_b0x @alexandrageese
mine too, but since learning of the danger these glasses pose, If I see someone wearing them irl, I intend to walk up and ask loudly enough others can hear, "OOOh are those those meta glasses? Are you recording all of us here without our consent? Are you gonna dox me?" etc. Hopefully I can control that rage enough to get the words out. -

I'm working on a #zine about #perimenopause #menopause and it's going to focus on resources.@Columbia @artcollisions I will second this wiki. I found it thru reddit and am so happy it links to the fediverse too. I was just hitting menopause after suffering for over a decade in peri when i found that sub and the wiki, which i read thoroughly. Good sound info with link to refs. It armed me to better communicate with my doc to get what i actually need, instead of more bs psych meds that messed me up.
