I don't understand why people respond to me on bluesky (thanks to my allowing myself to be federated to bluesky), when they don't allow themselves to be federated from bluesky out to the Fediverse.

@mcdanlj Yeah, the ad-hoc Bluesky integrations look more and more like a massive failed experiment. It's not just the tech: there's a big cultural incompatibilty (Bluesky is trying to recreate a nostalgic fantasy of Twitter before ~2022; the fediverse is trying to be unlike Twitter, at any time period).#fediverse #bluesky
