I hate the framing of everything on a linear "left-right" scale because that hides all sorts of nuance, but this is nonsense. People want to follow LEADERS and leaders LEAD by having convictions and getting people behind those convictions. Not by figuring out "what's mainstream" and adopting that.

Because who doesn't want a "market-driven" army. Can't possibly fathom where that might go wrong. Meanwhile, is there a prediction market taking bets on how badly this will all turn out?

So as a company that had to pay a tariff (which we ate) on our card game (showed up on our bill as "fentanyl tariff,") there's no clear path to getting that back even though SCOTUS says it was not allowed? Cool, cool

Hmm. The US is giving $10 billion in taxpayer dollars, not appropriated by Congress, to a fake board set up by the President and which he put himself in charge of *for life*... seems very, very illegal.

Kinda weird that Elon is promoting Grok giving empirically less useful answers. All the others explain the context and the different viewpoints. Whereas Grok is trained to be "here's the bigot's view only."

Vaguely recall how Biden admin emails to Twitter were the biggest attack on free speech ever. There was a whole twitter files thing about that. Curious where are Elon, Taibbi, Bari and crew on this?
