I hate the framing of everything on a linear "left-right" scale because that hides all sorts of nuance, but this is nonsense.

I hate the framing of everything on a linear "left-right" scale because that hides all sorts of nuance, but this is nonsense. People want to follow LEADERS and leaders LEAD by having convictions and getting people behind those convictions. Not by figuring out "what's mainstream" and adopting that.
