We are so cooked.

Anthropic just accidentally leaked its most powerful AI model because someone forgot to lock a blog CMS. They’re warning it could “outpace the efforts of defenders” in cybersecurity.

Do you understand what just happened??

Close to 3,000 unpublished files were sitting in a publicly accessible data store.. Draft blog posts, PDFs, details of a secret CEO retreat at an 18th-century English manor. Anyone could find them. Anthropic’s response? “Human error.”

The leaked documents describe a new model tier above Opus. Dramatically better than anything that exists.

Their own internal draft says it’s “far ahead of any other AI model in cyber capabilities.” Anthropic confirmed it’s real. They called it “a step change.”

They are terrified of their own model.

CrowdStrike dropped 7%. Palo Alto Networks fell 6%. Cybersecurity ETF down 6% in a single session, now 20%+ on the year. Bitcoin slid from $70K to $66K overnight. $20 billion in market cap vaporized over a draft blog post about something that hasn’t even shipped yet.

A $380 billion company with $20+ billion in revenue is telling you, in their own leaked words, that the thing they built will break the internet’s defenses faster than anyone can patch them.

They wrote that down. In a blog draft. Then left the blog draft unlocked on the internet.

Every script kiddie with API access is about to become a state-level threat actor.. Every firewall vendor is about to become a legacy vendor.. Every “we take security seriously” banner on every SaaS login page is about to age like milk.

@vonfriedland Die Frage muss eigentlich lauten: "Warum wurden die Autobahnen nicht privatisiert?"

Die Antwort ist so einfach wie logisch. Als "Autoland" können wir es uns nicht leisten, dass die Autobahnen verrotten. Ausserdem müssen die Leute ja irgendwie von A nach B kommen, wenn die Bahn ganz kaputt ist.

Um mal konkrete Zahlen zu nennen, die Autobahn GmbH als bundeseigenes Unternehmen ist nicht auf Gewinnerwirtschaftung ausgelegt und hatte 2023 (neuere Zahlen habe ich auf die Schnelle nicht gefunden) einen Gesamtumsatz von 1.94 Milliarden Euro. Derzeit gehen die Analysten davon aus, dass ca. 600 Millionen pro Jahr fehlen um die Autobahnen zu betreiben, was vom Staat bezuschusst wird.
Was ich total spannend finde, so richtig scheinen die nicht zu wollen, dass man sich die Zahlen anschaut. Es ist schwer ranzukommen und sie sind verteilt, teils uralt und sehr viel "Schätzung". Würde ich als Unternehmer solche Zahlen beim Finanzamt abliefern, hätte ich am nächsten Tag eine Buchprüfung...

@hannes99 @hannes99 Der Carport brauchte eine Baugenehmigung, die er auch anstandslos bekommen hat. Die Solaranlage ist ein wenig kniffelig, da sie über Flurstückgrenzen hinweg geht. Ausserdem war die Genehmigung für die höhere Dachlast nötig, zumindest meinte der Monteur das und deswegen wurde das eingereicht. Anyways, ich denke nachdem die den Begriff Inselanlage gegooglet hatten, war denen auch klar, dass das Argument Stromnetz nicht zieht. Warum sie das nicht gleich gemacht haben, entzieht sich meiner Kenntnis, aber ich fürchte die Begründung ist mal wieder Sachsen. Solar böse und wenn man einen Grund findet es zu verbieten, dann macht man es auch.

Wie man sieht noch nicht ganz fertig, die anderen Wallboxen sollen in die Schränke (wegen Vandalismusproblem...). Die Kraftstromsteckdosen sind auch für andere Verbraucher nutzbar, aber primär geht es um Laden von EV.

Das wurde in zwei Schritten gemacht. Das Dach wurde als Carport genehmigt und die Größe war nur möglich, weil das Gelände ab der Betonmauer Gewerbegebiet ist (war mal eine Gärtnerei). Nach oben ist es Wohngebiet und da wäre das nie genehmigt worden.
Die Solaranlage war dann der 2. Schritt und da hatte sich die Kommune erst quer gestellt. Ich vermute, dass die nicht wussten, was eine Inselanlage ist und erstmal nein gesagt haben.

Der Monteur meinte, dass sie damit die besten Erfahrungen gemacht haben.

Im Haus habe ich Solarwatt Battery Flex und habe bisher keine Probleme gehabt, bis ganz am Anfang, wo das Steuerteil falsch programmiert war. Das hat zwar alles sauber geladen, aber der hat den Strom trotzdem aus dem Netz gezogen und nicht aus der Batterie. War wohl ein Monteursfehler.

@manes @alfredz Ok, jetzt verstehe ich dich und ändere das.

Also die Solarpanele liefern derzeit 30kW, die Akkus haben 30kWh. Die restlichen Akkus (75kWh insgesamt) und nochmal 20kW Solarpanele kommen dann im frühen Sommer, wenn die Monteure wieder Zeit haben. Theoretisch können wir die Akkus noch weiter ausbauen, Platz ist genug für wahrscheinlich 500kWh, aber keine Ahnung ob die Steuerung das mitmacht. Es muss ja halbwegs zusammenpassen, wobei es auch geplant ist noch eine Leitung, die man manuell umschalten kann, hoch in's Wohnhaus zu legen um mal längere Stromausfälle überbrücken zu können. Im Haus sind auch nochmal 40kW Solar mit 22kwh Akkus, aber die sind in's Netz eingespeisst.

Unsere neue E-Auto-Ladestation.

Das ist ein Schuppen, dessen Dach wir nach hinten verlängert haben um mehr Solar unterzubringen. Das sind ca. 30kW Solar und die werden gepuffert von 30kWh-Akkus. Es gibt zwei Wallboxen und das ist nicht mit dem öffentlichen Stromnetz verbunden, also man tankt nicht einmal aus Versehen schmutzigen Strom.
Solar wie auch Akku wird noch ausgebaut, aber das Wetter macht uns gerade einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Vorher hatte ich nur eine kleinere Anlage, wo ich manchmal Strom aus dem Netz nehmen musste, aber die hier reicht im Vollausbau, dass 2-3 Autos zu 100% mit Solar fahren können.
Das spannende ist, dass die Kommune das verbieten wollte, weil Belastung fürs Stromnetz und so, obwohl es von Anfang an als Insellösung geplant war. Erst als es vor Gericht ging haben sie eingelenkt und die Genehmigung erteilt.

Im not a subscriber to "go woke, go broke". Especially in the Star Trek universe diversity and being different was a key element of the whole concept. It was the base on how the big questions was discussed. Every character had it's special view, was accepted and respected and it made it a great way of showing different perspectives on the same issue. TNG was a little too much of a space opera for my taste, but it played the diversity part very well. Of course there is critique on certain things from todays view, like Troys outfit, but it didn't effect the meaning of the character.
Starfleet Academy was just bad in many ways. Diversity was the only content, everything else was stuffing and a badly executed I have to add. I know for some people it's enough to see diversity on the screen, but for most people it's not. This show didn't crash and burn because of a right wing campain, it crashed because it was bad. It was bad because it was hollow and meaningless for the average Star Trek fan and likely for most occational watchers as well. The so called "modern audiences" either doesn't exist or are such a small minority they don't matter in the bigger picture. If they would exist there would be more audience, no matter who is campaining against it. The opposite, if certain groups like rightwingers or churches arguing against something, it makes me much more curious about it.
I am really happy this is over because it makes way for a new apporach with hopefully better content. I am sad for some of the cast. There was some really promising young actors and actresses who will have this stain of the failed show on their record. Usually Hollywood doesn't give a second chance, especially not to TV actors. Moviestars sometimes can recover, I don't see this happening here. Also Kurtzman is done. He made some great shows like Fringe, but this failure will end his career or at least set it back to B or C class of TV shows. Even sadder, this example will show all other producers progressive content fails and since everything is about money, there will be a much more conservative approach to new shows.
I am flabbergasted this all happened after part of this critique was already voiced in Star Trek Discovery. This has some more seasons, but after some time the producers realized their mistake and at least declared the show is no longer part of the official Star Trek universe. It broke too many rules, unable to recover... Now they did it again, but much worse...

Completely different topic, but I want to come back to the "go woke, go broke". As I said I don't subscribe to it, because there are enough examples proving otherwise, like the "Little Mermaid" from 2023. Besides a big rightwing campain against it, it was financially and culturally successful. If the movie is good enough, it works.
There are other examples where the approach "diversity is the content" failed and I really wonder why they did Starfleed beside this wellknown warnings. For me one of the most mindblowing fails in this area is what Jaguar did. Luxury cars are a special area of business, but also a little like the movie industry. Both is not neccesary for daily life, but people choose one or another brand to express their personality.
Rolls Royce made an advertisment and Jaguar later copied the idea, but failed misserably. RR's ad was very stylish, no car was shown and a lot of diversity. It had great pictures in it, I would say it is art. Jaguar's ad was a complete desaster, damaging the brand beyond repair. In 2023 Jaguar sold some 65000 cars worldwide, 2024 it was cut in half after they announced a switch to EV. After the campain the car sales went in free fall, in April 2025 they sold 49 cars and in June 2025 only 6.

This is the RR ad, the Jaguar ad I will put in the next post.

Im not sure getting anything, of course, but the chances are better now. This show flopped bad and they will go back to the drawing board and talk about what went wrong.
I doubt they will cancle the whole franchaise because they make good money with it, at least they did so in the past. They wil analyze what they changed and what worked and what not. This will influence the descissions for the next show. In the end they want to make money and this means they have to adapt to their audience, not vice versa. This will likely give me something I rather like to watch.

Of course it's their IP and they can do with it whatever they want, but I can chose what to watch. I gave it a try, it was horrible and I stopped. So did millions of other people. Obviously there was not enough interest for this type of content. My guess now: they will not produce a new TV series for years but one ot two motion pictures in a more traditional style. This sounds much more entertaining for me.

Maybe we can have a grown up StarTrek now where the big questions are discussed instead of dull characters talking about their feelings or someone is crying...
