Glad I made a few different routes for today… we may get out of here by 1 pm.
That will put us at the ocean around 5 since we have nothing to do in particular. Tomorrow we ride to Forks or Oysterville, tbd
Still a beautiful day to ride

@Xavier I am ok with cold and sunny, cold and rainy is the worst. Got new rain gear for this year, don’t want to get in any storms in the Midwest this summer.
@Xavier Ice on the roads
. I ride year round, my only personal rule is no snow or ice. In the winter it’s not hard in Seattle but I sometimes envy those in warm climates.
Just looked at the weather for riding Saturday through Monday and it’s going to be high 50’s low 60’s and overcast with no rain in the forecast.
@SecureOwl pappy van ka$h
I would really like this role. Lines up with my experience, skills, and interests. There is a down side, they are a Microsoft shop.
Lot of infra and data to work on and a small team.
Apparently too excited because it’s Thursday not tomorrow.
Excited for this interview I have tomorrow morning. Sounds like a great opportunity to work on a full program again, very hands on for a not for profit company in the healthcare space.
Lots of HIPAA, etc…
Hope it works out
Micro SD cards seem the way to go for cheap storage at today’s prices. SSD prices are getting nuts.
Guess I will get these older drives running…
@oisin looking at doing the same with crosspoint
So I am a bit late but I got a XTEINK x4 ereader.
It’s pretty awesome and mounts on the back of my iPhone and fits in my shirt pocket.
Haven’t had a chance to mess around with it but I want to swap the OS out and get it to sync with my books.
I have wanted a small ereader for a long time and this is perfect to replace my Kindle Paperwhite

RIP David Allen Coe.
@infoseclogger heh, SeaTac is the name of the city you will be in. Tukwilla, Southcenter, Burien are all close but based on the hotel it’s in, anything near the Airport would work, if you don’t have a car, get as close as possible to the site, Ubers are needed in the area.
Just had a package delivered and it’s too late to post about it tonight but once I can get some hands on with it tomorrow I share it with you all.
Some more good news! My only loan is now paid off. Gotta find a new loan to keep my credit score up.
Looks like the TISAX thing maybe a solid short term project.
My intake for training with the VA was great other than not being a fit for that program. They gave me a few other options with money.
I did get some movement with the job locally and I am moving forward to the hiring manager. I also have a call in a bit to see if I can grab a small 20 hour contract doing some gap assessment work for a TISAX engagement.
Still not getting my hopes up but it feels like progress.
@listless I would have told you this is 100% possible in Washington.
Private party sales have no background check process and are still legal here. Meaning someone could legally do this today.
Also, Washington now requires all sales via an FFL have a background check regardless of when they last completed one, for each single transaction, including 2 transactions in the same 24 hour period.
