@dangoodin it would not have caught the xz attack. But is the point of reproducible builds more about consistency and reliability than security?

Would this move by Debian, requiring byte-for-byte reproducible builds, have caught any real-world supply chain attacks seen in the past? -
Thank you Gnome Whitman.@Slyence that patented AI glosstm

Thank you Gnome Whitman.@honze_net I have not achieved that level of mastery yet I am afraid.
Seriously though why does it seem like these days people are now engaging in like negative effort to post things to the internet? This site0 has completely AI generated profiles of RPG designers that are full of this kind of crap.

Thank you Gnome Whitman. -
the llms can't talk about goblins anymore cause the goblins won their class action suit.@nash look I don’t care about the LLMs as long as the Goblin Market crash party is still on this weekend.

Is someone else also having problems with KDE on #FreeBSD - Konsole is hogging 100% always and the desktop is quite slow and laggy@jhx glad to hear. I prefer XFCE just thought that since the FreeBSD foundation’s video show casing the desktop installer script featured KDE and FreeBSD on the desktop is quite new to me I would branch out.
I will definitely try rolling back and seeing how performance goes keeping it simple.

I have Wayland KDE on FreeBSD 15 using quarterly as well. The desktop is quite sluggish making me think I should roll back to my pre-desktop-installer script run snapshot and just stick to X11 and XFCE.

For *BSD fans, I wish to understand something that truly bothers me.I am in the process of making FreeBSD my primary OS. It’s replaced Debian on my raspberry pi and I have just set up some spare SATA SSDs to install to on my desktop (hoping to use ZFS1). I will be triple booting Debian, FreeBSD, and Windows (for the wife) until I feel more confident.
