@sjn I voted "lower quality" but there does need to be some context. Some day in the future, if AI improves, products made with AI might be a good thing for utilitarian objects--small appliances, for example. But for creative works such as books, music and art I cannot imagine "Made with AI" ever being a positive thing. At best it might be a curiosity.

@Nonya_Bidniss This reminds me that when I was in college (a long time ago) they showed Apocalypse Now in an auditorium one weekend. It was required for a modern history course, but any student could attend.

My roommate, whose older brother was a West Point grad, and I went. The audience was about a 60-40 split, men v. women when the movie started; when the lights came up after it ended we looked around and my roommate and I were the only women still in the auditorium.

@falcennial I thought the lyric was "In the desert you can't remember your name
"Cause there ain't no one for to give you no name."

But he's THERE! The singer is there to give the poor horse a name! He just refuses to, and it's so cruel!

My heart breaks for that poor horse.

(And may every English teacher I ever had forgive me for quoting that badly worded lyric.)

@PhilthyPierre @kibcol1049 I wholly support extra precautions, especially when someone is having a scalpel inserted into their flesh.

When my Dad had cataract surgery, hospital admissions put his ID bracelet on the same side as they eye to be operated on. So simple, so clever!

Before the big surgery on Dad's leg the surgeon also marked the leg--by signing his initials!

@kibcol1049 When my Dad had surgery to restore blood flow to his left leg, I was tempted to tape signs to the bottom of his hospital bed: "right leg" and "wrong leg."

Not sure the hospital staff would have gotten the joke (a few would, but perhaps not the majority). Dad would have gotten it, but of course he couldn't see it.
