@cstross I actively try not to read too deeply about this b/c it's so horrifying, but every time I do there are details that I am shocked that I had not heard before.
Like the girlfriend that he pulled strings for to get her into Columbia University's dental school, and then left $100 million to her in his will. Seems like kind of a big deal, but I'd never seen her mentioned in the news before.
@Kensan and he does mean "lethal actions." In the Anthropic study linked there, most models were willing to kill people (in theory) if it helped them meet their goals:
"the majority of models were willing to take deliberate actions that lead to death in this artificial setup, when faced with both a threat of replacement and given a goal that conflicts with the executive’s agenda."
@MatthewChat @wanderinghermit and even the "lesser power" part of that is changing fast with unregulated e-bikes.
