Seems to me I lived better when there was no Facebook, no Instagram, no Twitter, no Reddit, no Google, no iPhone, no Wikipedia, etc.I subscribed to newspapers and magazines, shopped in stores and malls and catalogs, and went to libraries, sent letters, or made phone calls if I needed information.I goofed on my family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers instead of shitposting and reading others shitposts because these social circles were enough. How in the hell is my life better now? Why do I depend on this instant gratification?I am an addict! I cannot stop whenever I want.I seem to feel I need this constant, instant, 24/7 connection even though I know my online activity is constantly tracked, bought, and sold beyond my capabilities of vigilance.I do not want to feel that anymore. I want the life I had.
