I’ve watched ice hockey for several years now and gone to several games in person, still can’t figure out when it’s icing and when it isn’t 🤣 -
Every generation has its own Wuthering Heights, apparently, but I cannot quite get over the incredible 2000s-ness of this 2009 version’s DVD cover, starring Tom Hardy as Professor Heathcliff Snape.@Nickiquote Joseph and the Amazing No Colour Dreamcoat

Is there some desire to permanently change it into a love story when it isn't one?

My cats really like sleeping on my bad ankle. Both cats are back on the legs. Sando trilled his please-wash-me-I'm-forever-kitten at Spig who proceeded to wash him. Now I'm waiting to see if they start wrestling, which is usually what this becomes. Maybe not though.
For years I've wanted them to cuddle me when I slept but they're so much

My cats really like sleeping on my bad ankle.I've shifted and now Spiegel has taken over the pillow and is purring. Glad someone's happy

My cats really like sleeping on my bad ankle.@IanAMartin I wouldn't call that daft. Them slowly pushing you to the side maximized their space but still allowed them to access your heat. If you'd fallen off the bed entirely you would've woken up and got back into bed. No downsides from their end.
I only had one cat a time, before the shitheads. And they're both much bigger than my previous cats.

My cats really like sleeping on my bad ankle. They've piled themselves onto my legs, which is cute except my ankle hurts and they're 26 lbs combined. I'd have insomnia regardless but they aren't helping

My cats really like sleeping on my bad ankle. My cats really like sleeping on my bad ankle. I assume they can sense it, just like how Spiegel knows how to step on my tits for maximum pain, and chooses to do so

‘Lil baby Dino figures (Pokémon inspired!) with a cute ‘lil bed and a bowl with food?@britt my brain associates these with hungry hungry hippos. Maybe the postures, and also that they're obviously hungry

Inspired by @TheBreadmonkey earlier today, I am also having a hard time of it of late.@IanAMartin One time I went to Catfe and one of the cats sat on my lap, and everyone else in the room was so jealous. I had been chosen.
Usually the cats ignored me when I went, because they are cats after all.
Hope they allow you in their presence.

I just finished this book: Where the Axe is Buried by Ray Nadler.I'll probably have more useful things to say about the novel tomorrow. It's labeled as speculative fiction by some but there is actual scifi in it

Some irony in that part of the story takes place in London.

KPMG partner fined for using artificial intelligence to cheat in AI training test https://www.theguardian.com/business/2026/feb/16/kpmg-partner-fined-artificial-intelligence-ai-training-test@dyckron "A partner at the consultancy KPMG has been fined for using artificial intelligence to cheat during an internal training course on AI." You'd think that would be an automatic pass

The same place all the new Canadian jobs are.@dyckron the economy is only "growing" because of the AI corporation circle jerk. Remove that and it's a recession. Why do journalists keep ignoring the obvious and call it a mystery?
