@jalefkowit ooh it did to me (i had the same but with an MSI logo). it must have been my then-obsession with vanilla ubuntu (my company was a certified support partner in my country), my current manjaro setup would have run on it happily.

Just read @pluralistic’s blog post about government efficiency and the diff between the way DOGE did it last year and Mamdani tackels it now in NYC:The idiology that a government should be run like a business is inherently (and empirically) wrong.@david @pluralistic I agree whole heartedly from the NL, and I tell you a reason: private companies are *not* more efficient than governments. anybody who thinks they are never worked at a corporation, or had their eyes closed. private companies / corporations *look* more efficient, because they have less regulatory mandated transparency... which is softspeak for "they can juke the stats easier".
so yeah, privatising critical infra / running it like a for profit thing misses the point.
