@briankrebs So no new, not previously approved, consumer grade routers are allowed, but all currently approved models are still ok to import and use? No WiFi 8 for us!

@MLE_online I *almost* feel that way about cigarettes (I smoked for 20 years). I still get the craving and urge for one now and again, but at $15+ a pack, I’m too cheap to buy one (not to mention it would start me back smoking again)

@Ashedryden When I was little (<10) I couldn’t go into museums due to the security systems high pitched whines. Now, after teenage and college years spent going to rock concerts, loud bars, and 30+ years working in power plants. I still hear a high pitched whine, but now it’s just tinnitus

@djlink And considering all the devices that use an OS, wildly impossible to do. That oscilloscope? Runs Windows CE. Your car’s infotainment system? Some version of Linux. Your TV? Probably an Android variant.

You can’t right a law to cover all use cases, and a one size fits all is impossible. I thought California would be better about this
