CIRCLE WITH A DOT

Here they are. The settlers named them after lions hence the Lions Gate bridge from Stanley Park to North Vancouver. Our Squamish relatives have a longer story about who they really are.

Made the trek across the #SalishSea to #Vancouver today. I spent a lot of time here pre-covid and pre-retirement and mostly had my fill. But on days like today it really shines. I can even see the sisters peaking out from behind the hills. Time for an early lunch then back on the ferry home.

Today in #gardening news, the pole beans, tomatoes and zucchini all moved from the cold frames to the raised beds. Lettuce has been going great in their boxes for the past two weeks even giving us a few salads to enjoy. Carrots haven’t shown themselves but potatoes are coming up. AND I found a nettle patch on my morning wander and went back to forage enough for tea all summer. #pnw #zone8a

In prep for new furniture to arrive this Saturday, we gave away the old couch and loveseat last Sunday. I’ve been using a lawn chair or lying on cushions on the floor and my body is a wreck.

@CatherineBabault @GPJohnston We ate them raw. I went home and pick some from the tree by the house and added them to my salad at dinner. Forgot to check for small bugs but didn’t notice any during the meal:).
