Ok, I know it's cool to root for the underdog etc, and I find the Pi's I have to be really useful... but who is still buying these things???Do yourself a favour, if you need cheap compute power to run something locally, check ebay, CEX, etc to get an old desktop from an office clearance... I just check the price of the, admittedly fairly special, Raspberry Pi 500+ (which I lusted after on it's release but have ZERO use for) and it is currently (out-of-stock) £393.60!!!Education pricing for the MacBook Neo is £499 (although, laughably the Pi comes with more RAM)https://masto.ai/@phoronix/116328899906056956

@lecroix74 Oh yeah, undoubtedly there is a tweak or a patch somewhere to add it... but why is it not there by default? How do folks live without it? Is Gnome-land just a sea of overlapping windows?I'm more used to KDE, so taking a walk in another man's shoes at the moment.

Had our council tax notice for the coming year. Apparently, by law the max they can increase it by without special measures is 5% … our county council are a Reform majority council, and it’s going up by 4.9% …So much for Reform lowering taxes. #counciltax #ReformUK #liesdamnliesandstatistics

@robpumphrey in my experience, professional drivers are usually the worst drivers. Taxi drivers on mobiles, delivery drivers parking on double yellows or on clearways, HGVs weaving across lanes as if they've dozed off or just plain bullying car drivers with their size and excessive speed. I always get surprised* that when I'm in a motorway roadworks and I've set my speed limiter to the actual limit... I'm always overtaken by some asshat in an HGV. I'm actually no longer surprised.
