@joeress That's BS. I never set up ApplePay on an iPad. It's a stupid default and they should REALLY tone down the language.

I will freely admit to not caring that much about init systems.
SysV init worked just fine for my needs for a very long time. It had warts and shortcomings, but all software does.
nosh does look neat. It definitely "feels" more UNIX-y than systemd, which feels more like an enterprise developer decided to write an init system, missed Spring and Hibernate, and lift and shifted them over to their new project, if only in spirit and bulk
@freya I have zero idea. Trying to avoid LLMs feels like a fool's errand to me because they are EVERYWHERE.
@dashdsrdash You're right, but I monitor my incoming and outgoing transactions on bank account and credit card daily, and when fraud is caught quickly, your bank/credit institution of choice SHOULD be handling it appropriately, which means canelling the transaction and making you whole.
Relying on this IS a risk, but so iss crossing the street, even after looking both ways.

This draws forensic diagrams showing the entry and exit wounds and where the bullet wound up at the crime scene for the death of the craft of software engineering in mainstream commercial environments.
