Me: “No, struggle with pathological demand avoidance.”
YouTuber I trust and enjoy opening video: “You have to listen to this.”
Me: immediately puts down phone, walks away.
Me: ”What? I said I don't struggle with it. I'm actually very good at it."

OH GOD
I DIDN'T READ THIS PROPERLY UNTIL NOW
I MEANT THE SALT ON THE BOTTOM OF A CAN OF NUTS
I DID NOT MEAN SALTY SCROTUM
I mean I do enjoy that too but NOT WHAT I MEANT
I must not scroll. Scroll is the mind-killer. Scroll is the little-death that brings total anxiety. I will deny the phone. I will permit the boredom to pass over me and through me. And when the scroll no longer clouds my mind I will see my path. Only I will remain.
@izzyzeis awww, thank you so much. That really... Gave me some really big feelings. Thank you.
@WanderingBeekeeper I love that so much. Oh my god.
"When I kissed her she tasted like strawberries" ...you only tasted her lip gloss. When I kissed her she tasted of agony and surrender, of submission and rage. She tasted of honeycomb fresh from the hive, still dripping venom.
You kissed her lips. I have tasted her soul.
If someone says "There's no venom in honey" I'm gonna wrap a wiffleball bat with the definition of "metaphor" and then thwap you on the head with it, hard enough to get that that nice "bonk" sound but not actually hurt.
@burnoutqueen That's unfortunately why I'm still stuck in Missouri. Stay safe.
@nebula @glassblowerscat I'm gonna start making a list. I'll add you to it. There are scenarios where a Michigan might be a good safe place, at least for a time. UP or LP? No need for more details than that. I'm encouraging people to stick to only what state they're in.
@glassblowerscat it's one of those things where if someone's leaving Kansas, doing so while avoiding Missouri and Indiana is extremely difficult without going to places where it's even worse, so I'm glad you're available too!
If someone takes me up on this and needs to stop in Indiana on the next leg of their journey, I'll point them at you.
@niq thank you. I have plans. Layers of them for various emergencies. I'm gonna get through this.
The reality of being a trans person living in a red state is being aware that at any moment I might need to become an intra-state refugee.
If anyone is fleeing Kansas and needs a safe place to stop overnight on the way east, hit me up. I'm in Missouri. I can save you a hotel stop and feed you.
