      "When I kissed her she tasted like strawberries" ...you only tasted her lip gloss. When I kissed her she tasted of agony and surrender, of submission and rage. She tasted of honeycomb fresh from the hive, still dripping venom.

      You kissed her lips. I have tasted her soul.

        @estrogenandspite I was so deep in the metaphor that I assumed that when you ripped out the honeycomb, a bee had its stinger pulled out, spilling venom over everything.

        I love how evocative your writing is.

          @estrogenandspite In my Earthdawn campaign, one of the characters ended up with a jester costume with a scepter that was enchanted so that it could not cause damage, but only made a squeaky sound, that got louder and more ridiculous if you hit harder.

                @izzyzeis @estrogenandspite

                I was picturing "scorpion honey" myself, but your point is accurate: extremely evocative metaphor.
