@scarlet@plush.city I've been suggesting Stoat. It's rough around the edges, but it's FOSS, and I've watched them steadily progress and keep working on it for years now. It'll definitely be an investment in the future, but, I really think it's the ideal play right now. More support means that future gets here sooner.

I’ve been asked on TV hits and interviews lately to explain why decentralized social media is better, especially re: Mastodon.@taylorlorenz@mastodon.social the Fediverse is social media as it should have always been:
By the people, for the people, not by the corporation for the shareholders.
I might also say raw, personal interactions. On Fedi you interact with people, not algorithms designed to keep you doom scrolling.
