@bagder that's wild, easier to just keep paying than change anything. I know orgs that still run deprecated tech for that reason, it's wild.
Though, TBH, I'm shocked they're paying for it instead of just, ya know, doing whatever they want

@disorderlyf @Em0nM4stodon damn right! I left cherished communities behind, it sucks. But, like Twitter, I can’t ignore it being a racist and nazi platform. Left after Elon got it. Wish more folks I respected didn’t go back to those areas and betray their entire stance once it got rough
It’s sad. It is starkly relatively lonely but I have to live with myself. I can’t fathom how others can just ignore it. Anyway, agreed, lol
@disorderlyf @Em0nM4stodon at what point do you walk away, enough is enough? Folks are so dang conditioned to just take whatever these companies dish out and just roll with the inconveniences for the sake of keeping the status quo.
@mttaggart hell yeah, that sounds great!
@mttaggart it's only difficult in the beginning. Labbing things out and having that experience in a ton of scenarios is perhaps one of the biggest features of tech career success for me.
