Okie doke time for my third #HopeInHumanity post where I highlight people (past and present) that give me hope for our present and future. Today's person isssdrumroll@mttaggart! I've gotten a chance to get to know Taggart working on @ifin together. He saw that our field was struggling and wanted to be part of the positive change, so he brought a few folks here on fedi together to start working on the organization we know and love today. He is passionate, intelligent, hard working, and genuinely one of the most thoughtful people I have come to know. When you start to get to know him you begin realize just how much thought and energy he puts into his beliefs, how much he is constantly reevaluating them for validity when incorporating new information and just how hard he is working on trying to leave the world better off. All while doing his own work, writing, being with his family and working on a billion different projects. Honestly impressive. I am really proud to call him a friend and feel lucky to have him with us on this beautiful, blue spaceship flying through the solar system.
