Six weeks into my brain drug and I just had a 7h50m sleep after a regular day and I’m regularly breaking 7h now. In the past 5 to 6h was more common for me.

@Daveography @EllenInEdmonton @lorimolson Fun fact: A lot of greek immigrants settled in Jasper which is why there are a number of Greek restaurants there. Also because of the saturation of Greek food a number of the Italian restaurants were run by Greek families as well. The dynamic there was already changing before the fire but there are a lot of ownership changes happening now.

@lorimolson Their headquarters is now in Richmond but the first location was in Edmonton in 1964.

@EllenInEdmonton That location is near our offices so I've grabbed food there a few times. It's always been good.

Apparently my iPad really needed that full wipe. It's much happier and a number of issues I was having appear to have vanished.

This was part of a CBC piece on restaurant chains that started in Edmonton. I already knew about Boston Pizza, Earls, and Cactus Club.

@stephanie I think we’re safe there as while separatism has more support in Québec than in Alberta it’s far lower than the early nineties when I was there.

@stephanie Well some of it is just the creativity of what to do with old unused churches and that there are enough unused churches to repurpose. As yet I have not played pickle ball.

Previous factors adding to the list is that I went to uni there and fell in love with the city and the fact that Dieu du Ciel, one of the single best breweries in Canada, is there.
