"This is what corporate consolidation in the food supply chain looks like when it has metastasized for fifty years.Did not know about the Sysco Food Sheds Investigation and lawsuit. Will now be even MORE suspicious when I see a Sysco truck parked anywhere. But even that's not a guarantee. As I'm reading deets on the Shed's investigation, sales people were driving deliveries to restaurants in their personal "unrefrigerated" vehicles. Man, it's like a network of mafia bosses.

I actually find this pathetic, sheepish non-apology immensely encouraging: when people attempt to slink out of blame, it means they think they might actually experience some kind of negative consequences. He also lured PBS News out to the little town he lives in Ohio (where he's helped out more than a few local businesses stay in business). It was a bit of PR, cast as a local news story of big shot comes to little town and lets people question his judgment. I dunno, I feel like this is part of a campaign by his press people.
