CIRCLE WITH A DOT

I have a 300mm lens, which seems big, but really isn't. Most of my bird shots are for identifications. Occasionally I'll get a bird close enough that I really like the way the photo turned out. I was at Whitby Harbour in #Ontario this weekend. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/905417521I am impressed by how large gulls get. I know that they are ubiquitous birds, near shorelines, but still impressive. Herring gulls can get over 3lbs, the size of a small chicken. Their wings also have a nice profile across the sky. #birds #birding #bird

Went to Wychwood Park today. Lots of small birds, making a big noise. The days are getting longer and warmer. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/8119044Saw plenty of chickadees, goldfinches, house finches, downy woodpeckers, hairy woodpeckers, cardinals, juncos, red-tailed hawk, blue-jays, white-throat sparrow. This chickadee was eating some of the tree buds.

Male harriers transfer prey to nesting mates midair. Female harriers quickly hop out of the ground located nest, amidst the bog.#birds

@hannorein That's correct. It's odd in Toronto to have several cars linked together. On our main subway line, the subway is one long internal space. It seems a bit archaic to have to link up three cars.
