"The government" is not some independent entity that exists beyond the reach of the people. Governments can be manipulated and set to favor elites, but they can also be reset to allow the masses to maintain accountability. The government is the vehicle for mass rule; it cannot be simply denied or abandoned.

The federal government, as a sovereign currency country, cannot really go bankrupt; the real issue is that our fiscal policy is gravitated towards private exploitation and accumulation of profits by fewer and fewer people. Redistribution from the wealthiest to the masses and socialization of the economy towards public/social needs rather than private grift and exploitation is the only real solution.

Unfortunately, yet another family emergency has emerged that required me to tap into my savings, so I have to up the ante and the urgency a bit.

I now need $450 RIGHT NOW to cover this as well as my other needs for the rest of March. Rent still due on Friday.

My SSDI appeal is still ongoing; I am currently waiting for the Appeals Council to hear my latest appeal of the denial of my previous appeal. The case is currently in limbo. A successful appeal would significantly increase my monthly benefit payments when I enter SS-R, so I'm going all in on this. Cross your fingers, please.

Update:

Got a generous donation from a moot that cleared up nearly all of my needs for March. Thank you, WB!

Still taking donations, however, because you never know when emergencies can flare up; and I still have rent to pay on Friday. Though, I have saved up nearly enough to cover it.

I will reset at the end of the month to $2,000 for April, per the usual. I will be applying for Social Security Retirement benefits starting next week, so hopefully April will be the last month for begposting.

My appeal for SSDI will also continue once my Retirement benefits are secured, because if my appeal does succeed, it could significantly increase my monthly SS-R payments.

Hopefully by May or June I will be receiving Social Security Retirement benefit monthly payments. I will apply for them either this month or next. The amounts are desultory, but at least it will pay my rent and utilities and hopefully get me off the begging merry-go-round. Crossing my fingers.
