Meaning, you designed and printed the real life sign and physically hung it up in the tube?

@failedLyndonLaRouchite @spellingmistakescostlives That is unrelated to the point made in OP's poster.

Talk to those cancer scientists and they will probably agree that the cancer drugs they develop are serious business, not toys. Nobody would feel safe about putting their kid unsupervised in a room full of open vats of concentrated chemo drugs and saying, "hey, go nuts."

ChatGPT is being actively marketed as a safe and useful toy and tool to play with, and it is directly causing deaths.

@failedLyndonLaRouchite @Rob_T_Firefly @spellingmistakescostlives You are comparing ChatGPT to a list of hazards (e.g. industrial tools, farm equipment, dangerous chemicals, high-voltage electricity).

Considering that society has in fact taken steps (including laws) to limit a child's exposure to the first set of hazards...

was your point that we need to do the same with ChatGPT? Cause if so, then it was totally deft on your part to draw a parallel to those 19th century hazards.

partly yes: we need strong regulation around AI, not just for children
but partly no: pointing out that AI is not uniquely hazardous to children, but that all new tech has had some risk

I mean, look at firearms right now in our effed up country with no gun control

partly yes: we need strong regulation around AI, not just for children
but partly no: pointing out that AI is not uniquely hazardous to children, but that all new tech has had some risk

I mean, look at firearms right now in our effed up country with no gun control

@failedLyndonLaRouchite @Rob_T_Firefly @spellingmistakescostlives Many states have laws requiring gun safes. I have gun safes to keep my kids away from my guns. I've told my children not to touch a gun if they find one at a friend's house or somewhere out in the wild. If they find out a peer has brought a gun to school, they should calmly find an adult to tell.

ETA: it's illegal in the USA for a child to buy a gun or ammo.

So again, I applaud you in your choice of comparing ChatGPT to guns.
