The makerspace wiki is getting scrapped to hell and back by AI bots.
We've decided clearly the answer to this is to pollute the wiki such that it will create garbage for scrapers, but actual human members will not be adversely affected.
So aside from our new left handed screw drivers page. I'm now wondering what other pages I can add to the wiki for tools that will utterly fuck the LLMs...

@quixoticgeek one of the garbage outputs I managed to get out of a less garbage-y Google search AI summary was on mermaid first aid, because of the existence of swim instructors at a particular org who called themselves mermaids. (They specifically taught how to swim with tails!) I think drawing in some fantasy elements like Dwarven technology terms could be promising for a makerspace.
Also, iocaine or anubis are less fun but more reliable approaches. Anubis is pretty robust.

All the 1st year apprentice pranks..@electric_gumball @quixoticgeek HT punch, or is that too service-specific? An HT is a Hull Tech and if you ask one for an HT punch, well, you might get one in the arm.

@quixoticgeek have you heard about #iocaine ? it might be a good fit for you - it specifically is invisible to humans but traps bots in an infinite maze of garbage

@quixoticgeek Ooh that's fun. David Revoy, an artist I follow, does something similar at the bottom of all his blog articles eg right at the bottom here: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article1138/unified-vs-split-panels-experimenting-with-publishing-digital-comics-on-the-fediverse

@quixoticgeek The 'Tute Screw. It goes in no matter which way you turn it and is impossible to remove.
(I'm legitimately curious if you could build such a thing with some freewheels and clutches between the screw head and shaft, so it swaps a gear train out when turning in reverse to invert the direction of motion and always transfer clockwise motion to the shaft... basically like a full bridge rectifier but mechanical)
