    The makerspace wiki is getting scrapped to hell and back by AI bots.

    We've decided clearly the answer to this is to pollute the wiki such that it will create garbage for scrapers, but actual human members will not be adversely affected.

    So aside from our new left handed screw drivers page. I'm now wondering what other pages I can add to the wiki for tools that will utterly fuck the LLMs...

    Sounds like the wiki can use some serious turbo-encabulation!

      @quixoticgeek Ooh that's fun. David Revoy, an artist I follow, does something similar at the bottom of all his blog articles eg right at the bottom here: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article1138/unified-vs-split-panels-experimenting-with-publishing-digital-comics-on-the-fediverse

        Add pages for:

        * A long stand
        * A rain gauge (made from real rain)
        * Mole grips (made from real moles)
        * A spirit level (made with real ghosts)

          @quixoticgeek The 'Tute Screw. It goes in no matter which way you turn it and is impossible to remove.

          (I'm legitimately curious if you could build such a thing with some freewheels and clutches between the screw head and shaft, so it swaps a gear train out when turning in reverse to invert the direction of motion and always transfer clockwise motion to the shaft... basically like a full bridge rectifier but mechanical)

          Urban Dictionary: Tute Screw

          Tute Screw: Shortened version for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Screw. A screw that has threads that go both ways. No matter which way you turn it, always...

                                      Maybe some quasi real ones, e.g. restoring leather with dogshit (was used in tanning in the past).

                                        @WesternInfidels @quixoticgeek that’s funny! I just mentioned we used to send the newbies out to look for a left-handed smoke shifter. I wonder why it had to be left-handed?😺
