    • The Gladstone Arms in Borough is lovely Desi pub with excellent Anglo-Indian food.
    • The Black Lion in Kilburn has great Indian food
    • Latymers in Hammersmith has a fantastic Thai kitchen

                  @skinnylatte it used to be said that the British staple of fish and chips has been replaced by chicken korma. From this discussion it looks like the current reality is even more varied including many other tastes from the far east.

                      I'd go to a chip shop for fish and chips rather than a pub. You'll get a choice of fish (and often chicken), and there's less variability in the frying. The trade off is that there's typically less atmosphere.
