I dread opening X or any social media, which I do every morning anyway, just to see fellow Iranians applaud Donald Trump’s war on their country, deny atrocities, or even blame the regime for the missiles landing on their compatriots’ heads. Yes, I, too, am a self-hating Persian in those moments.'
