I keep talking and screamin' about this and pointing it out and trying to do my part to remedy this obliviousness and will continue, but just gotta say, talk about an endless frustration trying to get it across. Every victory is so small it often seems insurmountable to continue, but fuck it I do in spite of that.Anyway, solidarity, keep advocating the good fight, I'm gonna keep pushing and trying til my dying breath!
what gets people angry is the fact they can’t feed their kids or themselves and keep a roof over their heads.
The super rich and their corporations have deliberately pushed economic empowerment off of the public stage and replaced it with making sure that the same proportion of pick your group is participating in a system of exploitation.
When MLK and when Malcolm X started talking about class struggle, it wasn’t too long after that both of them ended up assassinated.

But then DOGE did the same to scientists in general, and now there was panic. Kimmel getting fired raised more outcry than every Black journalist firing combined.
Saying that 300,000 Black women were fired in this anti-DEI pushback, has no real impact on them. They can't feel that empathy for Black folk. Being anti-woke is "just an opinion."
Now I see daily jokes about "Woke is back!" No. Woke never left. I've been Black this whole time. The 300,000 Black women fired have been Black this whole time. The Black journalists pushed out of their jobs have been Black this whole time.

DEI is exactly about equity and equality. DEI is about merit.

This is the favorite paper of left leaning people in the US. The NYT published this and "The Left" didn't have an immediate visceral allergic reaction to it. Because "The Left" still doesn't accept or process how anti-Black and anti-trans this paper is.

To be clear, I don't think that the NYT has ever been a leftist paper. They really said "Michael Brown, due to be buried on Monday, was no angel." about an unarmed child killed by police. They ran Trump's full page ad on the Central Park Five. It's always been like this.
I'm saying that it's the favorite newspaper of the US left, not that it's a leftist paper.
Like saying that Trump is the favorite candidate of Cuban American men in Florida, is not the same thing as saying that Trump likes the Cuban American men in Florida. It's more of a "stop hitting yourself!" situation.

Most of the 'liberal' white middle class can't even understand the 'war on drugs'. Maybe some more bubble charts would help.
Seriously, though, until we start taking school board elections seriously the south will continue to win with generation after generation of ignorant public school graduates who don't believe the world their grandparents lived through and we are still living through. -
On top of this political system can distract itself with a lot of performative bullshit while 90% of the population is having trouble making ends meet no matter what size shape, gender or skin tone they have.
The problem is the super rich and the corporations who have deliberately worked to seize the means of government.
The flaming fire of hate that they benefit from, is the thing we need to overcome.
Minnesota is an exemplary here. It is something like what we need.
