This came up because my girlfriend and I were using a strap-on, and afterwards were talking about it. Neither I, nor my girlfriend had ever been with a guy who had worn one with us, and neither of us had worn one for a guy, but we've both worn them for each other.
@alice former "totally cishet" guy and I can say I'd never used one or had one used on me before coming out, for what that's worth. Though I had interest! Just didn't happen.

@aburka there are ones that are made to accommodate a penis, either by incorporating it or tucking it out of the way (so I've seen; we use ours with a double-ended dildo or a plain silicone one).

@Tereya our thought was that natural penises often don't perform as hoped (for either partner, but especially for vagina-owners), and it seemed like a missed opportunity to not have a backup ready to keep going with.
